With wholesome ingredients like dates, walnuts, and Juice Plus+ Chocolate Complete, these protein balls (or bliss balls) offer a delicious mix of chocolatey goodness that are easy to make, easy to pack, and ideal for a nutritious boost anytime you need it!
Ingredients
+ 2 scoops/sachets of Juice Plus+ Chocolate Complete
+ 7/8 cup of dates, pitted
+ 1¼ cup of walnuts
+ ¼ cup hemp seeds (including extra for rolling)
+ Dash of ground cinnamon
+ Dash of sea salt
+ ¼ cup almond butter
+ Cacao powder for rolling
+ A bit of milk or rice milk if too dry
Method
- Place dates in a mixer and blend until a ball forms. Set aside.
- Separately blend the walnuts until they reach a flour-like consistency.
- Add the Chocolate Complete powder, 30ml hemp seeds, sea salt, and cinnamon to the walnut flour. Blend briefly.
- Transfer mixture to a bowl and add almond butter.
- Put the dates back into the mixer and mix until a smooth dough forms. Adjust consistency with cacao powder if too wet, or milk if too dry.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Form into bite-sized balls. For variety, roll half the balls in hemp seeds and the other half in cacao powder.
